Vision
The main vision of our university is to raise social sciences teachers and academicians thinking for the need of the country, being open to innovations, being adherent to Atatürk principles and being able to use modern information technologies by giving eligible education about Social studies education and training. Our aim is to to bring new methods and techniques to our country by following developments in the world about Social studies education and training. To take part in the projects such as Social studies education, citizenship education, human rights. To cooperate and communicate with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions that can contribute to vocational development of candidates of Social Studies teaching.
Mission
Our mission is to provide the necessary infrastructure with the purpose of social studies education and training, to monitor all the innovations in the field, to follow the domestic and foreign publications, to take advantage of technology, to research about disciplines in social studies, to investigate how to give the achievements of these disciplines more effectively in social studies lesson, to raise responsible candidates for teaching who knows methods and techniques about the teaching of social studies, are questioning, investigative, have strong communication skills and have the ability to transfer these skills to the students they will bring up. To raise social studies teachers who are dependent to the general objectives of Turkish National Education and principles of Atatürk's principles and to raise citizens of the Republic of Turkey who know their rights and responsibilities.
